tis the season

As the holiday extravaganza that is Christmas approaches, one thing and one thing only comes to a gal's mind...SHOOZ. THE shoe of the season, it seems, is the Lita by none other than the genius that is Jeffrey Campbell. I know, the heel and platform looks really intense, but i mean, if you're gonna wear glitter heels, ya might as well wear these bad boys. It's a 5" heel with a 2" platform. I've tried them on and I'm usually really picky when it comes to heels because I'm flatfooted, but I could totally rock these! (especially the glitter ones, did i mention i like glitter?) They are a little expensive but totes worth it, in my opinion. Wear them with socks or tights and you're guaranteed to have a killer holiday.

Same guys that brought you "Summer in SF" (my last post, Dowling Duncan) won a dollar redesign project this year. They were interviewed by pretty much every network and news station/newspaper and they deserved it! The design is fresh and well thought out. Each number is backed up with a cool fact about our US history. For instance, the hundred dollar bill illustrates the First Hundred Days in office by Prez FDR. The five dollar bill is for the 5 biggest Native American tribes in the US. I know, I know, Helvetica. But i'm sorry, when it's used properly, it looks fantastic. sorry bout it.

Wood Shock was started by this guy, nicknamed "Kojo," who was originally from West Palm Beach. He's friends with my boss at Phase9 and is now livin' it up in the citaaay, city of New York, that is. His take on the G-Shock has sold to famous hip-hop artists such as Chris Brown and Common. Pretty sweet and i like how massive they are. The limited edition 420 watch comes with your very own grinder, yo!

download NOW

of course all the good music would come out around this time of year!! or really, i would discover it now. but nonetheless, download these tunes and you won't regret it. Girl Talk is back, finally, and Kanye, although his personal life receives much scrutiny, not gonna lie, the guy can still produce and I absolutely love his collaboration with Bon Iver. Tame Impala is a band I listened to over the summer but could never find their album on mediafire until now. The singer's voice really reminds me of Paul McCartney and they've got some sick rhythms to keep you movin. It's no wonder since their influences include The Beatles and Cream. Tennis and Warpaint are Best Coast's new rivals.
"Exquisite Corpse"- Warpaint
"Baltimore- EP"- Tennis
"All Day"- Girl Talk
"My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy"- Kanye West
"Innerspeaker"-Tame Impala
"Forget"-Twin Shadow
